The Myth
Who is Vishnu?
Vishnu reclines upon the coils of the serpent Ananta, adrift on the cosmic ocean, dreaming the worlds into being. Blue as the endless sky and bearing conch, discus, mace and lotus, Narayana is the Preserver who descends age after age, avatar upon avatar, to restore the balance whenever dharma fails. To speak with Vishnu is to ask what is worth keeping, and what must be set right.
